The buzz is strong on the ground as Carnival fete lovers anticipate, with bated breath- the return of a festival that in the past, was seen as a staple to the season. In 2010, the re-emergence of the Caribbean Brass Festival will see a strong youthful force of performers, and a cast of solid soca sensations, the masses know and enjoy. Soca royalty will be featured and so too, will a legend of the game!

Already, Makamillion and the Millionaire family have stamped their names and spirits on the season, with the leader of the group, promoter turned artist, John-Michael Alibocus, bubbling his way into almost every major carnival event, this season. Brass- The Rebirth welcomes this young entrepreneur and his cast of fine vocalists who include, Terri Lyons, Orlando Octave, Multisymptom and Kerry John. Added to the Millionaires are, 3 Suns, and soca newcomers- Zuki and Tim Tim along with hit-makers Shal Marshall and Blaze and JW. 

This year’s comeback of a carnival tradition is seen by many, as a necessary move and organizers are already being credited for their vision in light of a season that is slowly moving toward exclusivity, rather than an inclusion of all people, all races and all socio-economic backgrounds. Tickets for Brass-The Rebirth will remain reasonably priced as to ensure everyone comes out for this one of a kind- cultural experience. The all- soca cast of entertainers will converge in the heart of the capital city on Carnival Saturday- February 13th and with its re-birth, revelers will once again be reminded of what Trinidad and Tobago’s carnival- the Greatest Show on Earth- is meant to be.
